FurEver Friends Pet Rescue
Our Featured Pets...
We have lots of new moms and their babies right now. They will be looking for homes the end of May. If you are looking for a little one give us a call. We have lots of different colors and personalities!
Success Stories
Celia is one of our latest sucess stories. She was brought in with an injury to her leg. and four babie kittens. As soon as the babies were ready to let their mom go, we took her to the vet. She had been shot in the leg. She has had surgery on her leg, the vets put in staples and pins to help the limb heal correctly. She has been back to have the staples removed, and will return the mid part of December to have another X-Ray to see if the pins are ready to be removed. This sweet thing has been through so much, and yet is still a loving kitty. She has almost doubled her weight since being here, and loves to play with the other kitens. Once she is ready, she will make someone a wonderful friend. UPDATE: Celia has found a wonderful loving home where she will be kept indoors so that this tragedy will never happen again. We'll miss her dearly, such a wonderful kitty.
This is a picture of Dixi checking to see if Celia is ready to have their afternoon bath time.
Our Latest Success Story!
Our other success stories include lots of mama kitties that have been saved from certain death. Not only have they been allowed the right to birth and care for their young in a safe, caring environment, but they have also been guaranteed not to have to endure the discomfort of pregnancy ever again!! Some of these mama kitties have given birth up to three or four times a year!! We are here to make sure that they are allowed to retire from their jobs as moms, and get on with their lives as a family pet, as it should be.
New Arrivals...
We have Jaxson a black lab that is so full of love. He is always looking for someone to love on him.
Who We Are
FurEver Friends Pet Rescue is located in Cedar City, Utah. We are two hours north of Las Vegas and four hours south of Salt Lake City, just off of Interstate 15. We are a 501(c)3 tax-exempt, non-profit organization. Our program is run solely by volunteers and is funded through donations and our adoption fee. Every penny we receive goes toward the care, vaccination, and altering of these little ones. We do not like to ask for donations, but they are greatly appreciated. We don't just accept monetary donations either. We are also in need of supplies such as pet bedding, food and water dishes, toys and grooming supplies. We can also use old sheets, towels, blankets, and scrap material. The more donations we receive, the more pets we can take in. Although, we never stop rescuing just because the money stops coming. We know that somehow, we will always be taken care of. After months of fostering for another rescue group, we stepped back and looked at the bigger picture. We realized that there was a huge need for someone to go to the local shelters and take the pets with special circumstances and needs, as these are the ones that are all too often overlooked and are usually the first to be scheduled for euthanasia. These special circumstances and needs include moms with newborns, abandoned puppies and kittens, geriatric or disabled pets, the sick and injured, and pets of undesirable colors and/or breeds. FurEver Friends specializes in the adoption of these pets as well as placement of companion pets with less active adults. We also take in pets that do not fit into the "special needs" category, when we have room. If you are taken in by these heart warming stories of survival and loyalty, and would like to make an appointment to meet us or our wonderful pets, we would love to hear from you. You can also make arrangements to bring your pets and/ or children so they can meet and get to know our pets too! It helps us to fit you with the perfect new pet for your family. If you are interested in making a donation, whether monetary or otherwise, and cannot get it to us, we will be glad to make arrangements to pick it up or have it shipped. Thank you for all of your support in the effort to stop America's homeless pet poulation.
Adopting a friend
All of our pets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, unless arrangements are made in advance and a spay/neuter contract is signed. Our adoption fees range from $40.00 - $75.00 for each animal, which will be used for the next pet accepted into our program. Part of this fee is used to have the pet altered. The rest of the money is used for vaccinations, dewormer and food to support him/her until a permanent home is found. There is an adoption application that must be completed before an adoption will be considered. This is the best way to match a family with the perfect pet. Upon approval of the application, an adoption agreement will need to be completed and signed. The $35.00 adoption fee will need to be paid in full before the pet will be released from foster care. Good luck and happy looking!
